Real World D.C: The best is yet to come!
It’s official, MTV’s Real World is coming to the District! The seven strangers picked to live in a mansion will be here in Washington D.C shortly starting July! Right now the neighborhood peeping-tom has his binoculars set up. The neighborhood widow has her cell phone ready to call 9-11. Get ready for the drama. Get ready for a high dose of reality TV entertainment right in the lovely neighborhood of Dupont, in north-west D.C. .
Some people are excited for the cast members to be part of the neighborhood,while others are worried it will make the neighborhood more loud and attract criminal activity. I mean, of course people have the right to be mad, these homes in Dupont circle are million dollar real estate! I would be mad having to deal with the riff rats all because a corporation decided to fuse together people they know will make drama. It’s the price paid for reality TV entertainment.
Don’t get me wrong, I am excited to have a chance at seeing a reality show evolve, while everyone else not in the District has to wait until 2010 to get a glimpse of the drama on TV. I hope to befriend a cast member just to get a glimpse at the nice pad that MTV is going to furnish with the best of the best items. 2000 S st. NW D.C is the suspected home MTV has used for the staging of the show. At the moment the windows are covered up to prevent the surprise pad from being revealed before the cast moves into the city.
I need some tips on decorations on the count I recently moved in an apartment with 5 strangers but not for free. I live across the street from million dollar homes,but not a nice furnished apartment. My apartment is pretty much walls and floors. I say these cast members have it made! It’s like winning the lottery jackpot , a once in a lifetime event. I definitely would not refuse the offer.
Not to mention we are in a recession! MTV is known to not only give room and board,but find these soap opera cast members paid employment at great internships. Lucky ducks! So, definitely expect me to be in the neighborhood when the action takes place.
It’s a great time to be in the district. A time for change. A time for drama and a time for entertainment. So be on the look out for these 7 strangers. They most likely will be at the bars in Adams Morgan or somewhere near metro center, the heart of D.C. all and all. The best thing you can do is be sure to tune in 2010 or take a trip to Dupont starting July. I am sure you won’t regret it! It’s a great time to be in the city! The best is yet to come!
